Michelin will showcase its latest truck tire technologies and AI-enabled fleet management tools at the Road Transport Expo in Warwickshire from 30 June to 2 July, including the UK debut of the X Multi D2 295/80 R22.5 ahead of its September launch. The company said the new tire offers up to 15% higher mileage and up to 7% lower rolling resistance than its predecessor, while its stand will also feature retread products and demonstrations of AI-powered fleet solutions designed to improve operational efficiency, safety and tire management.
Continental and Renault Group have expanded their collaboration on energy-efficient electric vehicles through Renault’s “Garage Futurama” innovation platform, with the companies claiming jointly developed tires can deliver rolling resistance up to 35% lower than the threshold for the EU’s top A label rating. Continental said the technology could increase the driving range of an EV with a 500km battery range by up to 30km.
Renault has selected Continental EcoContact 7 as OE tires for its all-electric Twingo compact car. The car is rolling off the production line equipped exclusively with the 18-inch tires, which Continental said has “top ratings on the EU tire label for energy efficiency and rolling noise.” The tire’s high energy efficiency is due to “a new rubber compound” and “Smart Energy Casing technology”, which according to the tire maker uses new materials in the carcass, liner and sidewall to reduce internal friction and lower rolling resistance.
Nexen Tire has been selected to supply OE tires for Hyundai Motor’s facelifted “the new grandeur” flagship sedan, fitting its N'Fera Supreme S ultra-high-performance tire. The company said the tire incorporates its noise reduction system (NRS), AI-based low-noise pattern design and load distribution technology, and follows previous OE supply agreements covering Hyundai’s Grandeur, Palisade and Nexo models.
Bridgestone announced that it is "the sole tire partner" for Maserati's new MCPURA super sportscar, featuring a 3.0?litre 630 CV twin-turbo V6 engine that delivers 0-100km/h in under 2.9 seconds. It is fitted with tailor-made Bridgestone Potenza Sport tires, combining advanced tread and compound technology to deliver enhance vehicle handling, control and driving dynamics. R&D leveraged "virtual tire development and predictive simulation tools, supporting early design optimisation and faster alignment on the final specification."
Tire pressure can make a significant difference to fuel consumption in farming operations, reported Yokohama-ATG citing the results of field tests in the UK. Testing involved an Alliance Agriflex+ 373 tire in tractor–trailer transport applications over a mixed 17km route and pressures adjusted from 0.8 bar to 1.2–1.4 bar. The results showed that optimised pressures could deliver typical fuel consumption savings of around 13% - with potential fuel-cost savings of around €78 - over a 300km working day.
Bridgestone Corp. has received General Motors' 2025 supplier of the year award, marking the tire maker's 11th consecutive year receiving the recognition and its 24th award overall. GM said the award recognises suppliers' contributions to safety, innovation, adaptability to changing market conditions, delivery performance and support for the automaker's goals and values. Bridgestone was among 103 companies selected from more than 20,000 suppliers worldwide.
Nexen Tire has secured original equipment supply contracts for the all-new Kia Seltos in North America and Europe, expanding a programme that began earlier this year in South Korea. For the North American market, Nexen will supply its 16-inch N'Priz S tire, which the company said is suitable for electric, hybrid and internal-combustion vehicles and offers high mileage performance as well as a "quiet, comfortable ride." In Europe, including Germany, France and the Netherlands, Kia has selected the N'Fera Primus in 16- and 18-inch fitments and the N'Fera Sport in 19-inch sizes.
Yokohama Rubber Co. (YRC) has announced a series of OE tire contract wins, including the supply of Advan Fleva V701 tires for Honda Motor’s Super-ONE compact EV, launched in Japan in May and set to be introduced in the UK and other Asian markets. The high-performance tire is designed to deliver “joy of driving” with sharp handling for city, winding and highway use, YRC said.
YRC is also supplying its Geolandar X-CV tires as OE for Mazda Motor’s new CX-5, launched in North America in March, in size 225/65R17 102H. The tire is designed for highway terrain use, balancing high-speed performance, safety, comfort, durability and fuel efficiency while meeting M+S (mud & snow) standards. Yokohama said the product was developed using its proprietary HAICoLab AI-based development framework, which combines human creativity with AI data processing to support product innovation.
In Japan, YRC is supplying its Advan V61 tires for Mazda Motor’s new CX-5, launched in May 2026, with fitment also in Europe and other regions outside North America in size 225/65R17 102V. The tire is positioned as ‘a premium SUV summer tire’ offering a balance of driving performance, fuel and energy efficiency, stability and low noise.
YRC is also supply the Advan V61 and Geolandar X-CV tires as OE for Subaru’s new Trailseeker (E-Outback in Europe), a battery electric SUV. Fitments vary by region, with Advan V61 tires used in Japan and Europe and Geolandar X-CV in North America. Yokohama said both tires feature its EV-focused “E+” marking and were developed using its HAICoLab AI system, targeting durability, low noise and energy efficiency for electrified vehicle requirements.
Continental has launched the SportContact 7 Force, a new ultra ultra-high performance summer tire developed for selected sports cars and fitted as OE on the new Brabus Bodo supercar. The tire, unveiled 18 May, is a tailored version of Continental’s SportContact 7 and features a dedicated “BB” sidewall marking developed exclusively for Brabus. According to Continental, the tire is designed for “maximum control at high speed” on both road and track, using an adaptive tread pattern and BlackChili compound technology to improve grip, braking and handling stability. The launch extends a technology partnership between Continental and Brabus spanning more than 25 years.
Sumitomo Rubber Industries has begun supplying Dunlop SP Sport Maxx 060 and e. Sport Maxx tires as OE for Subaru’s new Uncharted battery electric SUV in the North American market. The Japanese tire maker said 19 May that the tires were developed to improve ride comfort and EV driving range through lower rolling resistance and reduced noise levels.
Toyo Tires’ Open Country H/T tire has been selected as OE for Mazda’s new CX-5 crossover SUV in the North American market. The 225/55R19 fitment was developed using Toyo’s ‘Nano Balance Technology’ and T-Mode tire design platform technologies to support ride comfort, low noise and driving stability.
Nexen is supplying its Roadian CTX as OE tires for Hyundai Motor’s new Staria Electric and Staria Limousine models, including export vehicles destined for Europe, Oceania, Latin America, the Middle East and Africa. The all-season tire was developed to support ride comfort, durability and handling under high-load and high-torque conditions associated with electric and premium multi-purpose vehicles. Nexen said its AI-based performance prediction system was used to optimise ride quality across different driving conditions.
Bridgestone has been selected as the exclusive tire supplier for Lamborghini’s new Fenomeno Roadster, developing two Potenza fitments for the limited-production hybrid supercar. The open-top model, limited to 15 units, will be equipped with custom Potenza Sport ultra-high-performance tires for road use alongside a semi-slick track-oriented Potenza tire homologated for public roads. Bridgestone said the tires were developed and manufactured in Italy using its virtual tire development technology.
Apollo Tyres has launched the Apterra HT5, a premium highway terrain tire developed for India’s SUV market. Designed for vehicles including the Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour and Mahindra Scorpio, the tire was developed at Apollo’s global R&D centre in Chennai and will be produced at the company’s Andhra Pradesh and Chennai plants. Apollo said the tire combines durability, mileage, grip and comfort, targeting both rugged SUV usage and newer urban-focused SUV demand. Features include “armour technology” for cut resistance and extended tread life, a “dynamic pattern” design for improved traction and braking, and tread sipes aimed at reducing road harshness.

At a World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) meeting, held 27-30 April in Montreux, Switzerland, Linglong Tire presented a concept tire made of 85% sustainable materials - the product of a programme to ensure that all of its tires are made of 100% sustainable materials by 2040. Among other related initiatives, Linglong highlighted its use of sustainable tire materials, including feedstocks such as ‘bio-technical (itaconate) rubber’, rice husk ash, corn-based silica, liquid waste rubber and pyrolysis carbon black.
Bridgestone has expanded its VT-Tractor agricultural tire range with six new extra-large sizes for high-horsepower tractors, including new 44-inch and 46-inch rim options. The new sizes, spanning 38 to 46 inches, will be introduced progressively from April 2026 and produced at the group’s Puente San Miguel plant in Spain. Bridgestone said the range is designed to improve traction, wear life and durability while supporting modern larger farm machinery.

Continental has received OE approval from Volkswagen to supply tires for the new T-Roc compact SUV. Approved products include the EcoContact 7S, EcoContact 7, WinterContact TS 870 P and AllSeasonContact 2 in sizes from 16 to 19 inches. The company said the fitments cover summer, winter and all-season applications across multiple markets.
Nexen Tire has announced that it will supply OE tires for the 2026 Jeep Cherokee, marking a fitment on Stellantis’ first hybrid system. The South Korean tire maker will supply its Roadian GTX product for the SUV model, which Jeep says is expected to deliver 37 mpg and more than 500 miles on a single tank. Nexen said the tire is designed for SUVs and crossovers, with features including braking performance, snow traction, ride comfort and low noise.
Linglong Tire has launched the Dura Master Van tire for light commercial vehicles, vans and motorhomes, with sales starting this spring. The company said the new range will be produced at its plant in Zrenjanin, Serbia, with 29 sizes from 12 to 17 inches available. Linglong added that an OE-focused Dura Master Van e version will be offered in two 16-inch sizes for vehicle manufacturers. A further all-season variant, the Dura Master Van 4S, is scheduled for release in autumn 2026.
Goodyear has recalled nearly 70 Eagle F1 Supersport tires in the US due to potential tread separation risks. The tires were manufactured at Goodyear’s plant in Hanau, Germany, and include size 305/30ZR21, produced between 7 – 20 Sept 2025 and 255/35ZR20, manufacture red 31 Aug – 20 Sept 2025, said the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) 24 April. The subject tires experienced a tread separation condition on internal conformity of production lab wheel testing. The condition could lead to loss of vehicle control, resulting in increased risk of a crash. NHTSA said the root cause for the tread separation condition is still under investigation.
YRC has produced the first Mitas-branded agricultural tire in China, with the first unit rolling off the line at its Xingtai plant in Hebei province 22 April. The group said the move reflects a new phase of localised manufacturing aimed at serving China’s agricultural market with faster delivery and production response.
Pirelli has developed a new P Zero R tire for the Porsche 911 Turbo S, designed to handle the model’s 523 kW output and 800 Nm torque. The ultra-high-performance tire’s compound has been “derived directly” from the group’s motorsport experience, said Pirelli. The tire is engineered to deliver grip in both dry and wet conditions, while maintaining “consistent traction across different surfaces and a wide range of weather conditions.”
Hankook’s Laufenn brand has secured OE fitment for its S Fit 2 summer tire on the Skoda Octavia, marking its debut with a “leading European car manufacturer.” The tire was developed as an “all-rounder” with a focus on wet grip, short braking distances and stable handling, supported by a high-silica compound and reinforced shoulders. Laufenn said the tire also improved rolling resistance and higher wear resistance through “new polymer technology,” contributing to lower life cycle costs. The OE version carries the “+” marking used across VW Group brands.
Yokohama Rubber is supplying Geolandar X-CV tires as OE for Subaru’s Uncharted battery electric vehicle in North America. The tires, in size 235/50R20 100V, are designed to balance “safety, comfort, durability, and fuel efficiency” and carry the company’s “E+” marking for EV-specific performance. Yokohama said the product was developed using its AI-based HAICoLab framework and forms part of its strategy to expand sales of high-value-added tires under its Yokohama Transformation 2026 plan.
Bridgestone units in Thailand have received two awards from Toyota Motor Asia, recognising performance in quality management and safety. Bridgestone Asia Pacific (Thailand) won the regional quality award, while Thai Bridgestone received the “Best Safety Award,” according to the Japanese group.
Pirelli has developed "bespoke versions" of its P Zero R tire for the new Audi RS 5 and RS 3 competition limited, targeting improved braking performance, grip and handling for both road and track use. Read more
Nexen Tire said it has been selected to supply OE tires for Renault Korea’s Filante crossover, fitting its 19-inch Roadian GTX all-season tires on models for both the domestic market and exports to Latin America and the Middle East. The tire features a zigzag tread design, optimised load distribution and low-noise block arrangement for stability, grip and reduced noise.
Prinx Chengshan said its Prinx Aquila Pro tire has been selected as OE fitment for the Nevo Q05, a “global high-volume model” from Changan Qiyuan. The tire, said the Chinese tire maker, is designed for braking performance and achieves EU ‘Class A’ rolling resistance. Prinx said the tire was aligned with the carmaker’s focus on comfort, range and intelligent mobility.
The former Bridgestone tire plant in Ulyanovsk, now operating under the Gislaved brand by Russian producer Cordiant, produced 1.2 million tires in 2025. The tire maker restarted the plant after nearly three years halt in March last year. The facility now manufactures 148 sizes across the Gislaved and Cordiant brands and is expanding its range, including recently launched summer and winter tire lines.
Pirelli has been named “supplier of the year” by Hyundai Motor Group for its ‘product quality, supply chain performance and collaboration.’ The tire maker said it supports Hyundai with “high-quality products and efficient services” and highlighted fitments on models including the Genesis GV60 Magma and Hyundai Ioniq 6 N using its P Zero tires with ELECT technology.
Hankook Tire’s Ventus evo and Ventus Prime 4 summer tires have achieved ‘top results’ in recent European tests, according to the Korean tire maker. The Ventus evo, it said, has won Auto Bild’s main and all-wheel summer tire tests with ratings of “exemplary”. The Ventus Prime 4 also received a “very good” rating in an AvD test, with testers citing “premium performance at a fair price”.
Michelin has initiated a recall of certain Primacy 5 Energy tires in size 205/60R16 92H , following a safety alert issued by the European Commission on 19 March. The EC alert cited a risk of injury linked to insufficient inner liner thickness. The recall covers products manufactured in France between 19-30 Jan, where the “residual thickness of the inner liner, which contributes to airtightness, is insufficient.” According to the EC alert, this “can lead to an abnormal, slow pressure loss,” potentially affecting vehicle stability and “causing a risk of injuries.”
Pirelli has expanded its ultra-high-performance offering to the replacement market, making its P Zero R and P Zero Trofeo RS sport tires available beyond original equipment fitments. Read more

YRC has expanded OE supply in China, fitting its Advan V61 tires on GAC Toyota’s Wildlander SUV. The company said the tire delivers “premium-grade driving performance” with a balance of “fuel and energy efficiency, handling stability, and quietness,” and carries its “E+” mark for electrified vehicle compatibility. Development leveraged its AI-based HAICoLab framework, combining “human inspiration and creativity with AI’s enormous data processing capability.”
In a separate fitment, YRC is also supplying Advan Sport V107 ultra-high performance tires for the Lexus RZ 600e “F SPORT Performance” BEV. The tire is designed for “a perfect balance of driving performance combined with superior comfort and safety,” and was tested at the Nurburgring to meet premium OEM requirements.
Nexen Tire has launched its N’Blue S summer tire in Latin America and Asia-Pacific, targeting expansion in the replacement market after success in Europe. The company said the tire is designed to “deliver optimal performance across internal combustion engine, hybrid, and electric vehicles,” carrying its EV ROOT mark.
Cordiant is extending its Gislaved range to 22-inch rim sizes for the first time, targeting large SUVs and crossovers. The company said the move responds to gaps left by exiting premium brands, which created an “illusion” of choice dominated by imports. The new Gislaved One line is positioned as a “worthy domestic alternative,” combining in-house development with technology from former Continental and Bridgestone operations.

In Italy, Pirelli said that it opened 2026 with “2 wins and 3 podium places” for its new Cinturato summer tire in European comparative tests, the tire maker has announced. Tyre Reviews described the tire as “the best summer tire of 2026,” while Automobilclub von Deutschland rated its safety performance as “excellent.” The tire also secured top-tier results with ADAC, Auto Zeitung and Vi Bilaegare, with Auto Bild calling it “exemplary” and “a tire without weaknesses.”
Dunlop has launched a new premium summer tire for passenger cars and SUVs, marking its first product developed under Sumitomo Rubber Industries (SRI) since the 2025 acquisition of brand rights. Read more…
Laufenn, a Hankook brand, has introduced its ‘S Fit 2’ summer tire for the European market, marking the brand’s first entry into OE supply with European car makers. The tire achieves an EU wet grip rating of A in nearly 90% of sizes, supported by a high-silica compound and “four generously sized linear grooves.” It delivers a 16% shorter braking distance than its predecessor and features a new polymer generation which improves mileage by 15%. The tire also targets lower rolling resistance (B–C rating) to improve fuel efficiency.
Continental has announced that it supplied OE tires to ‘all 10 highest-volume electric vehicle manufacturers’ in the EMEA region in 2025, with 17 of the top 20 globally using its products. The company highlighted its focus on “low rolling resistance, quiet rolling noise and high load capacity,” key requirements for EVs.
Continental has been selected as an OE tire supplier for the new Smart #5 electric SUV, fitting the vehicle with its EcoContact 7 summer tire. The tire features ‘aerodimple structure’ a sidewall technology inspired by the surface of a golf ball, which reduces air turbulence around the wheel and improves aerodynamic efficiency. Newly developed materials in the carcass, inner liner and sidewall also lower internal friction and rolling resistance. The tire incorporates a silent-pattern tread design tuned to reduce rolling noise at urban driving speeds of around 50 km/h, according to Continental.
Nexen Tire will supply OE tires for the new Kia Seltos SUV in Korea, including its N’Priz S all-season tire and N’Fera AU7 premium comfort model. The N’Priz S tire features an optimised tread block design to improve mileage and ride comfort while enhancing snow traction for four-season driving conditions. For higher-spec models, Nexen supplies the N’Fera AU7, which incorporates the company’s ‘noise reduction system’. The technology reduces interior cabin noise by absorbing resonance inside the tire cavity, with internal testing showing around a 10% reduction in driving noise compared with conventional designs.
Firestone Racing has introduced Bridgestone's Enliten technology into Firehawk race tires used in the 2026 Indycar season, incorporating renewable and recycled materials while maintaining motorsport performance. Key materials include renewable soybean oil to replace petroleum-based processing oils in the compound, recycled steel for bead wire reinforcement and recycled carbon black recovered from end-of-life tires.
YRC has begun supplying its BluEarth-Van RY55 tire as OE to Daihatsu Motor Co. for use on the car maker’s new commercial-use mini-BEV ‘e-Hijet Cargo and e-Atrai. The tires, YRC said, are engineered to handle the higher loads associated with battery packs. They also feature a compound designed to improve both rolling resistance and wear resistance, while tread rubber thickness and profile have been optimised to maintain wet grip and ride comfort.
YRC has begun supplying its BluEarth-XT AE61 tires as OE for GAC Trumpchi’s new M8 plug-in hybrid minivan model. The tire incorporates YRC’s BluEarth materials and design technologies and features an asymmetric tread pattern combined with a high-rigidity profile intended to reduce vehicle sway and uneven wear associated with vehicles with a higher centre of gravity. The design, said YRC, aims to deliver a combination of safety, ride comfort and environmental performance while supporting the efficiency requirements of electrified powertrains.
BMW has selected Nexen Tire's premium sport performance tire the N’Fera Sport as OE for its new iX3 vehicle model. The tire is claimed to provide "excellent" dry, wet and handling performance partly due to the enhance grip and braking performance provided by the new tread compound. Meanwhile, the sidewall reinforcements "maximise stability at high speeds, delivering outstanding handling and stability during cornering."
Falken Tyre Europe GmbH has officially changed its name to Dunlop Tyre Europe GmbH, the company has announced. The move is aligned with parent Sumitomo Rubber Industries' previously announced strategy to incorporate and leverage the Dunlop brand. Read more
Giti Tire on 20 Feb announced a new winter tire lineup based on its AdvanZtech platform and ‘ice surface adhesion technology 3.0’. The range includes the Winter Comfort WT26 and Winter Control WT80. The WT26 employs a sponge rubber compound that rapidly absorbs water film on icy surfaces, as well as snow-breaking grooves and high-density sipes to provide stable grip on ice and snow while reducing road noise. The WT80’s 'bionic' tread pattern and densely arranged sipes create a “brush effect” on ice, improving braking and steering response.
JK Tyre on 14 Feb launched a new premium farm tire, the Shresth Plus developed modern farming, where “higher horsepower tractors, longer working hours, and varied soil conditions demand tires that deliver consistent performance.” With high non-skid depth, broader lug design, and optimised land distribution, the tire offers better traction, longer mileage, and improved roadability. It is also designed to provide enhanced protection, higher load-carrying capacity, and greater resistance to sidewall damage.
Farm and agriculture machinery major John Deere has awarded the Guizhou Tire its ‘achieving excellence partner supplier’ during its China supplier conference 2026. This marks the fourth consecutive year of the award for the Chinese tire supplier, said Guizhou 2 Feb.
Falken Tyre Europe has expanded its 2026 summer tire range, adding new sizes and fitments in response to “surging demand” in European SUV and EV segments. The updated line-up, said Falken, reflects a shift in the European market toward larger rim diameters and higher load ratings, driven by SUV sales and the characteristics of EV powertrains. “Consumer demand for EVs and SUVs is reshaping Europe’s automotive landscape,” product manager Marcus Schulz commented in an 18 Feb release. Bridgestone has introduced the Blizzak IcePeak, a new flagship winter tire featuring Enliten technology and dual 3-Peak Mountain Snowflake and Ice Grip certifications. The tire combines ‘optimised winter compounds, a redesigned tread pattern and Bridgestone’s MultiCell technology to improve ice braking, and snow traction,’ the group said. The tire replaces two existing Blizzak models and is positioned as a single winter solution.
Pirelli has introduced the third generation of its Scorpion summer tire for SUVs, featuring a new tread compound, reinforced structure and optimised profile. The tire is claimed to deliver improvements in dry and wet safety, mileage, acoustic comfort and rolling resistance compared to its predecessors. The tire was engineered using virtual development technology and mileage-prediction tools to balance durability and efficiency for heavier, high-centre-of-gravity vehicles. It also features materials and design solutions derived from Pirelli’s latest Cinturato generation.
Falken has been selected to supply all-season and winter tires for the Volkswagen Tiguan, with factory fitments based on its Euroall Season AS220, Euroall Season AS220 Pro and Eurowinter HS02 Pro products. The tires use Sumitomo Rubber’s 4D Nano Design technology to improve wet grip, fuel efficiency and service life through optimised rubber compounds, tread geometries and aerodynamic sidewall design.
Apollo Tyres has launched a new truck-bus bias (TBB) tire range aimed at improving durability, mileage and total cost of operations. Developed through collaboration between its global R&D and manufacturing teams, the tire range features advances in tread design, rubber compound formulation and carcass construction and enhances cut-and-chip resistance, casing durability, load-carrying capability.
Continental will fit the new Audi A6 with its summer tires as standard. Audi has approved two options for its premium mid-size model: the high-performance SportContact 7 and the efficiency-focused EcoContact 6 Q. The SportContact 7 is designed for particularly sporty, precise handling. Its rubber compound and tread pattern are optimised for high grip and short braking distances on both dry and wet roads. The EcoContact 6 Q is focused on “efficiency, durability and comfort.” A special rubber compound and optimised tread pattern “significantly reduce rolling resistance and noise.” This not only lowers energy consumption and extends range but also enhances ride comfort.
Nova Motorsport has extended and expanded its long-term tire supply partnership with historic motorsport organiser Peter Auto. Under the deal, Nova Motorsport will continue supplying Avon Motorsport tires to sporting events, with trackside service delivered via Peter Auto’s exclusive provider, Sodipneu. The deal confirms continued supply of Avon Motorsport tires to Group C racing, Classic Endurance Racing 1 and 2, and the 2.0L Cup, while adding the Sixties’ Endurance series to the agreement. The expanded scope includes events such as the HSR Daytona Classic 24 Hour, aligning with Nova Motorsport’s growth strategy in North America.
Nexen Tire said it is supplying OE tires for KG Mobility’s Musso pickup truck, providing the N’Priz RH7 and Roadian HTX RH5 models. The tires were developed to support heavy payloads of up to 700kg and to deliver stability, durability and comfort across on- and off-road conditions. Nexen added that the OE supply forms part of its strategy to expand in the SUV and pickup segment, where it already supplies models including the Jeep Wrangler, Jeep Gladiator and Kia Tasman.

In January 2026, Sailun Group officially unveiled its new-generation commercial vehicle tires in China. The product range covers six key series: the premium MAXAM line, EV-specific tires for electric trucks and buses, advanced heavy-duty tubed tire products, the SR135 series for medium-to-long-haul general cargo, the SR195 metric tire series for car carriers, and the SR330 metric tire series for heavy haulage. The tires are built on Sailun’s independently developed third-generation technology platform, which combines innovations in new materials, new technologies and advanced ‘craftsmanship’.
UK-headquartered Nova Motorsport has been named as official motorsport tire partner for Caterham Motorsport in a landmark multi-year agreement. The partnership formally transfers the long-standing association between Caterham and Avon Motorsport to the new Nova Motorsport brand, which now produces the former Avon Motorsport tires under licence. Nova Motorsport will supply tires across four official Caterham Motorsport Championships as part of the deal.
Nexen Tire has begun supplying OE tires for Hyundai Motor’s new electric SUV, the Elexio, developed for the Chinese market. The model will be fitted with Nexen’s N’Fera Supreme S and N’Fera Primus QX EV tires. The Elexio is the first dedicated electric vehicle produced by Beijing Hyundai. Nexen said the OE supply supports its efforts to expand its presence in China’s growing electric vehicle market.
