Company targets budget segment with “first in-house” C-segment brand set for 2026 rollout
Moscow – Ikon Tyres is preparing a “major product portfolio update” in 2026, including new tire models, an expanded size range and the launch of a new in-house brand, Credo, aimed at the budget C-segment.
In a 5 March statement, the Russian tire maker said it is developing several Ikon-branded models, including All-Terrain (AT) and Ultra High Performance (UHP) tires, alongside an updated Attar line produced in Kazakhstan since 2024.
The new Credo brand is positioned as a response to sustained demand for affordable tires.
“While demand for affordable tires remains consistently high, the quality of products in the budget price segment often draws complaints from car owners,” said Ikon, formerly Nokian Tyres’ Russian operations.
Credo, said the tire maker, will combine “reliability, understated aesthetics, and engineering excellence, accessible to a wide audience,” and is expected to offer an alternative to low-cost imports entering the market.
In the SUV segment, the company is launching the Ikon Magnetar AT tire, described as a “technologically advanced product with high off-road performance.”
In the high-performance segment, Ikon is preparing the next generation of its Autograph Ultra line, including the Autograph Ultra 5 and Autograph Ultra 5 SUV.
The company said this marks its “first in-house development in this category,” with a focus on performance and design.
Ikon added that its R&D centre currently supports three brands – Ikon, Attar and Bars – and will expand to four with the launch of Credo.
