Tire claimed to deliver 5% improved snow grip, 15% longer mileage compared to predecessor
Seoul - Hankook Tire Americashas launched its new Winter i*cept evo 4 studless winter tire for passenger cars and SUVs, claiming 5% improved snow grip and 15% longer mileage compared with its previous model.
The latest addition to Hankook’s Alpine winter range uses “wider lateral grooves” and “semi-sipe technology” to improve snow performance, while a “balanced grip compound” and enhanced hydroplaning resistance are designed to improve wet-road braking.
An “optimised curing process” and “balanced wear design” provide improved fuel efficiency and longer mileage, Hankook said 8 Sept.
The tire's tread design and tire technology also reduce road and impact noise during sudden braking and steering, said the Korean tire maker.
“The Winter i*cept evo 4 combines stronger snow traction, enhanced wet braking, and improved efficiency to help drivers navigate changing winter road conditions with confidence,” said KC Jensen, vice president of PC/LT sales, Hankook Tire America Corp.
