Tires positioned for sports cars and high-end models in the prestige segment
Milan – Pirelli has expanded its ultra-high-performance offering to the replacement market, making its P Zero R and P Zero Trofeo RS sport tires available beyond original equipment fitments.
The tires, previously developed for ‘premium and prestige’ OEM applications, are now offered to aftermarket customers, said Pirelli 23 March.
The move, it said, brings experience from “custom fitments for the highest-performing models” to a wider audience.
Pirelli said the two products represent “the pinnacle of the P Zero range,” developed jointly with leading car makers and already fitted on “over 60 models,” including European sport scars, supercars and American muscle cars.
According to the Italian tire maker, the P Zero R is positioned for sports cars and high-end models in the prestige segment.
It offers “excellent grip on various asphalt types and in different weather conditions,” with a tread design aimed at reducing road noise.
Alongside it, the P Zero Trofeo RS is a semi-slick tire designed for “maximum track performance” while remaining road-legal.
Pirelli said the tire delivers “high performance and consistency” and maintains performance “even under the most demanding track conditions.”
Pirelli said the new sizes were refined using its Milan R&D simulator and produced with its MIRS (modular integrated robot system) technology at plants in Italy and the US.
