Paris – At the recent Paris Motor Show, Hutchinson SA showcased an application for its Flush technology on the AITO M9 full-size luxury electric SUV developed jointly by Seres and Huawei.
The structural sealing system is claimed to offer “simplicity, in contrast to alternative solutions, and offers significant benefits in terms of cost, ease-of-mounting, assembly and weight.”
The showcase at the Paris expo, 14-20 Oct, comes three years after rolled out the Flush glazing technology for the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport platforms.
According to Hutchinson’s latest press release, the “innovative technology” can be tailored to the requirements of each customer, market and vehicle.
“Flush has already won over Europe and Asia and is now ready to make its debut in the US,” the French group further claimed in the 22 Oct statement.
Hutchinson has previously described Flush as “a new structural sealing solution for window hidden frames [that is] lighter, easier to install and cheaper than frameless doors.”
The roll-out on the luxury Range Rover & Range Rover Sport platforms marked the initial commercial application of the sealing technology for the French group.
Developed to offer “unique and simple” design options, the flush system can be adapted to individual customer and market requirements, according to Hutchinson.
In 2023, the manufacturer said 'would soon' be introduced to other automotive manufacturers in Asia, Europe and the US, with a particular focus on mid-range vehicles.
