Trelleborg adds second sealing profiles manufacturer in a month

Trelleborg, Sweden – Trelleborg has acquired its second sealing profiles business in a month, expanding its capabilities in Southern Europe with the purchase of Italian manufacturer Producta Srl.

Headquartered in Montelupone, Italy, the company manufactures sealing solutions and extruded profiles for the building and construction industry, primarily serving Italy and Greece, Trelleborg said 1 Oct.

Producta reported sales of around SEK135 million (€12 million) in 2025 and will become part of Trelleborg Industrial Solutions (TIS).

“The acquisition strengthens our position in sealing profiles in southern Europe and complements our portfolio with new solutions,” said Jean Paul Mindermann, president TIS.

Producta's focus on innovation, he added, is aligned with Trelleborg's strategy to develop “more value-added offerings and solutions that enhance resource efficiency and improve material usage.”

The transaction was completed and consolidated by Trelleborg as of 1 Oct.

The deal follows TIS's acquisition of M+R Dichtungstechnik GmbH in Germany last month.

M+R Dichtungstechnik develops customised rubber profiles and moulded components for ‘technically demanding applications,’ with its portfolio consisting primarily of extruded rubber profiles for the construction industry. (ERJ report)
