Americas president Stephen McClellan and EVP Darren Wells to retire later this year
Akron, Ohio – Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. has announced the planned retirement of two of its top executives in 2024.
Stephen McClellan, president Americas, is retiring from the group effective 1 April, said Goodyear in a stock exchanging filing 16 Jan.
McClellan, Goodyear said, has been with the group for over 36 years, serving in a variety of top management roles.
He has held the top positions in the Americas unit for more than eight years, and served as president of North America Tire prior to that.
In a separate filing in December last year, Goodyear also announced that executive vice president and chief administrative officer Darren Wells was set to retire by the end of February.
Wells has been with Goodyear for nearly 20 years, and has held various positions, including group chief financial officer.
Both departures follow the announcement, in November last year, by long-time president, CEO and chairman Richard Kramer that he will retire in 2024.
