Elastomer sales more than double as Chinese materials group expands business
Longkou, China – Dawn Polymer Materials has reported a sharp increase in first-half earnings, supported by strong growth in its elastomer business.
Revenue for the six months to 30 June increased 38% year-on-year to Yuan3.98 billion (€513 million), while net profit attributable to shareholders rose 182% to Yuan237 million, the Chinese materials supplier announced 14 Sept.
Elastomer sales more than doubled to Yuan890.5 million, up 136.2% year-on-year.

Dawn linked the growth within elastomers partly to a new single-layer hard TPV coolant pipe for electric vehicles, which it described as the segment's “core incremental product” during the first half.
The material, it said, replaces multilayer nylon piping and, and is claimed to reduce weight by 30% and overall piping costs by 40%.
Dawn said it completed certification across vehicle models at leading Chinese new-energy and domestic-brand vehicle manufacturers during the period and has entered “large-scale batch supply” of the material.
