Federal finds favour in Tokyo Auto Salon debut
ERJ staff report (TP)
Tokyo − Federal Tyres said it had an “excellent” debut at the Tokyo Auto Salon, held 10-12 January, as the Taiwanese firm enjoyed its 60th anniversary.
In the show, the company not only showcased its range of products, but also launched its Federal Motorsports line-ups (FMS). The 595 series, part of Federal’s UHP (ultra high performance) series, received “positive” feedback. The company also said it took the opportunity to meet with local partners and strengthen its foothold in Japan.
Four cars were on exhibit at its booth. Two Federal-sponsored Asian Cross Country Rally cars – the Toyota FJ Cruiser and HiAce gave a demonstration of Federal’s COURAGIA products − M/T and XUV. The Toyota 86 was also showcased with the Avante FZ-201 – designed for motorsports competition. Last but not least, equipped with specially designed 595 RPM for supercars, the special edition convertible Lamborghini LP700-4 Spyder was on display.
Federal Tyres Marketing Manager, Geoffrey Chang, said: “Taking Tokyo Auto Salon as the first stop for Federal’s diamond jubilee celebration, Federal feels honoured that we had the opportunity to get closer contact with everyone in Japan.
“This show provides a great platform for Federal and the visitors to know each other better and Federal will continuously develop its latest products to keep up with the times and meet our clients’ expectations.”
