Vulkan secures new contracts at Moscow show
ERJ staff report (TP)
Moscow – Serbian rubber goods producer Vulkan Gume LLC enjoyed a fine debut at last week’s Tires & Rubber Exhibition, as it secured new contracts.
Suzana Stankovic, Head of Sales, talked to ERJ at the event.
“We’re a rubber goods producer and our main goods include rubber conveyor belts used in mining, electrical power plants and also some in the cement industry.”
The firm, founded in 1937, also produces rubber flooring, sheets, hoses, boots and glue.
She was “happy” with the event as the company had obtained new contracts and they plan to do other Russian shows (and visit Istanbul) in the future.
“Our plan is to be in the Russian market as it’s so big and you can sell many things,” she said.
“It is hard as you spend a lot of time and maybe money. We also plan to sell within the African markets. We have some contacts in Egypt and Algeria – it’s a good time for projects.”
Europe has not been forgotten as Vulkan cites the number of large factories that will require conveyor belts.
Planned sales for 2014 are ambitious.
“The growth target is 30 percent,” she said. “If it’s more than 30 percent – we will be successful.”
