Pirelli launching 'autographed' tires for premium cars
ERJ staff report (BC)
Geneva, Switzerland – Pirelli is introducing ‘autographed’ original equipment tires in its P Zero and Cinturato P7 series for prestige cars. These feature unique markings on the sidewall which indicate that the rubber compound has been specifically developed to suit each manufacturer.
The company says that the world’s car manufacturers have an increasing demand for exclusive and technically advanced tires developed in collaboration with Pirelli’s engineers.
Pirelli lists the following marques as using its bespoke tires: Aston Martin, Audi, Bentley, BMW, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Mercedes and Porsche, and some of the most “eagerly anticipated” cars at the Geneva Motor Show, such as McLaren’s new P1, the new Ferrari Enzo and the new Maserati Quattroporte.
