El Segundo, California – Trelleborg has acquired a US-based subsidiary of CoorsTek, Inc. that specialises in the manufacturing of precision seals for the aerospace industry.
The El Segundo, California-based business, which has not been named by Trelleborg, is expected to strengthen the company’s presence in North America and in sealing solutions for aircraft programmes.
The transaction is expected to complete in Q4, 2016, subject to the approval of relevant authorities.
The operation’s revenue in 2015 was nearly €12 million.
“The aerospace market is an important growth market and the acquired operation’s product range of various PTFE seals and other custom-made plastic components fits very well into our product portfolio and future strategy,” said Claus Barsøe, president of the Trelleborg Sealing Solutions business area.
