Columbus, Ohio – Honda Canada Inc. has recognised ContiTech’s air conditioning hose segment with a value award for the second straight year at the auto maker’s annual North American supplier conference.
Dave Rudyk, business development manager for Continental AG’s ContiTech Mobile Fluid Systems unit, said the company is “extremely pleased to accept this award for the second year. This is exceptionally pleasing because the recognition comes from a global company that shares our focus on technology, innovation and quality.”
One supplier from each product group is selected for the annual award recognising the technical and commercial support Honda receives throughout the year. The mobile fluid systems segment has been supplying Honda in North America since the manufacturer built its first vehicle there more than 30 years ago.
ContiTech said it also supplies Honda with air-conditioning lines for the Civic and CRV models as well as the Odyssey minivan.
The ContiTech division develops and supplies technical elastomer products that include parts, components and systems for machine and plant engineering, mining, the automotive and other industries.
Together with US company Veyance Technologies Inc., which Conti acquired in early 2015, ContiTech generated sales of approximately €5 billion (pro forma basis) in 2014. It employs approximately 43,000 people in 43 countries worldwide.
