ERJ staff report (TP)
Trelleborg, Sweden − Trelleborg Sealing Solutions has extended the period for submissions to its 'Innovation Award' until the end of November, it said in a press release.
Now in its second successful year, Trelleborg Sealing Solutions offers an open invitation for submission of ideas for innovations connected to sealing products or processes to its 'Innovation Award'. Prizes are given to five ideas drawn from those added to the 'Innovation Award' forum on www.seals-innovation.com.
Robert Zahiri, Director Global Marketing and Communications at Trelleborg Sealing Solutions, says: "We're always looking for innovations and the 'Innovation Award' is a great way of getting everyone involved in coming up with new ideas. We accept submissions from anyone, our own employees, students and especially our customers.
"And don't think that we are looking for complete solutions, just ideas and desires are enough, especially from our customers. We go through all the suggestions to see if they can be implemented. Ultimately, if feasible, we'd like to put process related ideas into practice in our business or those related to products and materials, into research and development."
Innovation ideas are called for in five different areas:
Products and technology
Business processes
Logistics, packaging and related services
Digital services
Learning and knowledge
The deadline for submissions for this year's 'Innovation Award' has been extended to 30 November. It is expected that award will be given annually with a new award program in 2014.
