Beijing, China - A seminar in China on the marketing of tyres reported that domestic sales this year have been miserable. The seminar on 23 Septeber aimed to help domestic tye makers to improve their marketing skills.
The industry reported on the difficult international situation as well as increasing raw material prices. These, combined with international tariffs have led to increasing production costs.
The seminar resolved to improve the situation with respect to counterfeits and prevent scandals like the “Tianjin Kumho tyre event and Jiang Su Hantai tyre quality and safety problems from happening again.â€
The seminar also promised to enhance protection for intellectual property rights among tyre makers.
