Charlotte, North Carolina - Carlisle Companies has posted net sales of $890.5 million for the third quarter ended 30 Sept 2011, a 31 percent increase from the same period in 2010. Income increased 15 percent to $53.7 million.
The diversified products company designs manufactures and markets a range of products including rubber products used for a variety of niche markets including commercial roofing, mining and construction equipment, and agriculture.
Carlisle said the acquisition of companies, including EPDM-based roofing membranes company PDT Phoenix GmbH, contributed 15 percent in sales.
â€œCarlisle achieved another quarter of strong sales and overall earnings performance,â€ said David Roberts, Carlisle CEO. â€œWe expect 2011 full-year sales growth in the mid-20% range and expect 2011 EBIT margins to improve versus last year.â€
