Genan confirms Pirelli Tie-up

Viborg, Denmark -- Tyre recycling company Genan A/S has confirmed that it has entered into a R&D partnership with Pirelli. The company said the two companies aim to act "as partners in a groundbreaking research and development project aimed at refining the Genan rubber powder to a level where they can be fed back into the production of new tyres. "
The Genan statement continued, "The global scope of the cooperation is comprehensive as considerable virgin resources of rubber can be saved and CO2 emissions from this production avoided."
