Apollo using Reifen 2010 to launch brand in Europe
ERJ staff report (TB)
Gurgaon, India -- India's Apollo Tyres Ltd. is using this year's Reifen tyre exposition in Essen, Germany, taking place June 1-4, to launch the Apollo brand in Europe.
The launch of the Apollo brand in Europe follows Apollo Tyres' acquisition of Vredestein Banden B.V.-since renamed Apollo Vredestein B.V.-in May 2009, a move that allowed Apollo to accelerate its plans for Europe.
Apollo will display its range of tyre brands-Apollo, Vredestein and Maloya-at its booth in Hall 3 at the Essen Expo Center. The display will highlight the passenger car range Apollo is introducing into Europe and how it complements the Vredestein and Maloya ranges, Apollo said.
At the same time, Apollo has started shipping radial truck tyres to customers in India, Southeast Asia and the Middle East from its new factory in Chennai, India.
