Nynas launches new unlabelled oil for tyres
Stockholm, Sweden -- Nynas has launched Nytex 4700, developed specifically for tyre compounds to meet the requirement for PAH-free tyres from 2010.
Nynas said its latest oil grade development Nytex 4700 performs well in tyre compounds with it's glass transition temperature close to -50°C, and meets the PAH-free health and safety criteria. The total amount of the eight defined individual PAH is well below 10 ppm.
The new grade conforms to the high viscosity naphthenic oil specification set by the IISRP Americas section. With Nytex 4700 and Nynas previous extensive developments on tyre oils, Nynas positioned itself as the only global tyre oil producer who can fulfil all regional tyre oil requirements from the US, Latin America, Europe and Asia.
“Nytex 4700 fits well in our already broad range of non-labelled tyre oils. We believe that with our global supply program we have a very competitive solution for the polymer- and tyre companies who needs to replace their high aromatic oils before 2010. Tests and discussions with key companies are already ongoing, and now we are introducing this product to a wider group of companiesâ€, said Thorsten Lutze, Market Manager for Nynas tyre oils.
