Evonik raises silane prices worldwide

Frankfurt, Germany -- Evonik has announced a price increase of 15 percent worldwide for its rubber silanes, effective 1, May 2008.
The announcement, made by Evonik's Inorganic Materials Business Unit blamed the soaring cost of the basic raw materials needed in production. The company said it, "sees no other option but to pass on some of these costs to all customers."
