BFGoodrich unit to recall 46,000 tyres
GREENVILLE, N.C. (Sept. 29)--Michelin North America Inc.'s BFGoodrich Tires division is recalling 46,000 passenger and light truck tyres because of the possibility of steel belt separation.
The company said six tyres were returned from service after customers reported tyre vibration, noise and ride comfort issues. BFGoodrich's subsequent investigation found similar problems may exist with as many as 3,500 tyres, representing six brands, so the company decided to enact the recall.
To date, there have been no accidents or injuries reported and no property damage claims filed, BFGoodrich said.
