India launches dumping investigations into NBR, chemicals
New Delhi, India--Folloowing complaints from Apar Industries, the sole Indian producer of nitrile rubber (NBR), the Indian government has started investigating exports of NBR from Europe (excluding Germany), Mexico and Brazil. The period under investigation is nominally April 1, 2003 to March 31, 2004. However, the injury investigation period will additionally extend backwards to January 2000.
India has also launched an investigation into the possible dumping of rubber chemicals in Indian markets from the EU, the USA, Taiwan and China. The investigatino follows a complaint by Indian producer, NOCIL.
