Set for start-up in 2027, upstream project to support Chinese company's tire manufacturing operations
Guiyang, China – Guizhou Tire Co. is to establish a carbon black production line at its Zhazuo operation in Xiuwen County, Guizhou province, China.
Planned for start-up in June 2027, the project will be implemented by subsidiary Guizhou Qianjin New Materials, the project's environmental impact assessment (EIA) shows.
The unit will have capacity for the production of 30 kilotonne per annum (ktpa) of carbon black, accordiing to the recently filed EIA report.
The EIA identified the project as a third-phase expansion of Guizhou Qianjin New Materials' existing carbon black operation.
Following the expansion, total carbon black capacity at the site will reach 130ktpa, the document said.
The new facility will produce carbon black for rubber applications, with planned grades including N115, N375, N234 and N330.
