ERJ staff report (DS)
Taipei, Taiwan -- Cheng Shin has given more details of its previously-announced three new tyre plants, according to the Taiwanese news service, CENS.
CENS quoted Cheng Shin president J.H. Chen saying the company will budget NT$30 billion (euro 771 million), starting in 2011, to set up three new plants, each one in Chongqing of Sichuan Province and Xiamen of Fujian Province, China, and Doliu of Yunlin County, Taiwan. The three plants will raise Cheng Shin's tyre capacity to 170 000 units/day from the current figure of 100 000.
