ERJ staff report (LMH)
Guangzhou, China - Demand for rubber products is on the rise in China, according to the organisers of ChinaPlas rubber and plastic exhibition.
The organisers cite statistics which show that accumulated sales volume of rubber products in China has reached RMB 220 504 billion between Jan and May 2010. The growth rate of the rubber industry in 2010 was 35.38 percent on a year-on-year basis, and 31.57 percent compared to the same period during 2009.
China is said to be overcoming the adversity of the global financial crisis and growing rapidly, stimulated by the various products being produced in the country.
The 25th International Exhibition on Plastics and Rubber Industries, known as ChinaPlas 2011, is to be held from 17 - 20 May in the China Import and Export Fair Pazhou Complex in Guagzhou.
The exhibition is to have a specific 'Rubber Machinery and Equipment Zone' which aims to attract rubber machinery manufacturers, product manufacturers and other supporting equipment suppliers, as well as buyers from different sectors.
The organisers say they expect the zone “to act as catalyst to boost the development of the industry."
