NR futures remained strong across major Far East exchanges despite generally moderate trading activity, Japan Exchange Group (JPX) reported. Over the week ended 10 July, strong physical demand and short covering supported prices during “a largely quiet, range-bound trading week,” said JPX. Firmer crude oil prices also provided support following the escalation of tensions between the US and Iran around the Strait of Hormuz.
