The country exported 53 million tires in August 2021, up 14% on the same month a year ago, according to official state figures show.

The value of exports in August as presented in US dollars increased by 17% year on year, to $1.5 billion.
Over the first eight months of 2021, China exported 386 million units tires, showing a 33% rise from a year ago.
Export value jumped 31% from the same period in 2020, to $10.7 billion. Volumes in tonnage rose by 23% to 4.5 million tonnes.
China’s tire production in August, however, shrank by 2% from a year ago to 74 million units, said China’s National Bureau of Statistics.
