SmartConnect 4.U platform further developed to serve as internal communication tool between Desma and partners
Fridingen, Germany – Machinery supplier Desma is aiming to ‘integrate’ itself into the processes of its business partners through its digital offerings.
To achieve this, the company has further developed its SmartConnect 4.U platform into an ecosystem, which, in addition to pure machine networking, reflects "the entire business relationship and is also available to customers," Desma said in a 15 Dec statement.
The German machinery maker will tap Industry 4.0 and the digital tools of its SmartConnect 4.U product family to provide transparency and reproducibility of production processes for its customers.
In addition, it will offer its customers “a value proposition and range of services” to increase their competitiveness.
Desma unveiled its SmartConnect 4.U platform three years ago with a roadshow on the subject of Industry 4.0 and machine networking.
Now upgraded into an ecosystem, it will serve as an internal communication and knowledge platform between Desma and its business partners.
