ERJ staff report (TP)
Tokyo, Japan − Bridgestone will demonstrate its latest technological innovations at the Dubai International Motor Show, which takes place at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre from 5 to 9 November.
The company will showcase three new tire concepts for the first time in the Middle East and Africa region.
These include the Half-Weight, which as a lighter tire helps with fuel economy and reduces the environmental effects of tire production.
The Air-Free, which has internal spokes made of recyclable thermoplastic and so requires less maintenance.
Thirdly, the tire with ologic technology, which is narrower with a larger diameter than conventional tires and designed for the next generation of environmentally-friendly vehicles.
“For the first time Bridgestone will be the ‘Official Tyre’ of the Dubai International Motor Show,” said Shoichi Sakuma, President of Bridgestone Middle East and Africa.
“As the leading regional event for the motoring industry there couldn’t be a better environment for Bridgestone to introduce its new concepts which make an important breakthrough in the tire industry.”
The stand will also feature a ‘Bridgestone 4D Theatre’ which offers a simulated road trip using the performance of Bridgestone tires.
For fans of car drifting, the stand will host and display the Red Bull Chevrolet Camaro fitted with Potenza tyres.
Bridgestone is one of the main sponsors of the Red Bull Car Park Drift finals that will be held on 8 November at Dubai World Trade Centre.
