New tool provides instant operational insights from fleet data and is available in UK, US and certain European countries
London – Michelin Connected Fleet has launched an AI-powered assistant for UK fleet operators, enabling users to access operational data and generate reports using a ‘typed prompt’.
Available through the MyConnectedFleet web platform, the service allows fleet managers to submit queries and generate reports about areas such as fuel consumption of drivers; driver performance as well as tire maintenance.
The system can answer simple operational queries or produce reports and identify trends in text or visual formats, Michelin said 29 June.
The service “aims to reduce complexity and support fleet managers in their day-to-day work,” offering “immediate answers” to quick or complex questions, using real-time data.
Co-developed with some of the company's largest customers, the tool "offers a more intuitive way to interact with vehicle usage data, while removing the need to generate multiple reports," said Sophie Foucque, CEO of Michelin Connected Fleet for Europe, Africa and Australia.
"Augmented fleet managers can therefore focus fully on the performance of their operations," she added.
Michelin said the AI Assistant operates as “a closed system” designed to protect customer data confidentiality.
It can also be integrated with other Connected Fleet technologies, including onboard cameras, automatic tire wear inspection and tire underinflation alerts.
The assistant is available to Connected Fleet customers in the UK, the US, France, Spain, Denmark, the Netherlands, Finland, Sweden, Germany and Italy, with additional features to be introduced based on customer feedback.
