Initially launched in Japan, system intended to help rubber manufacturers centralise, use development data
Tokyo – Zeon Corp. has launched its first subscription-based digital service, introducing a data management platform designed to help rubber manufacturers centralise and utilise R&D data.
Initially being rolled out to customers in Japan, the system is designed specifically for elastomer R&D and aims to improve the efficiency of product development.
This, Zeon said, will address an 'industry-wide challenge,' as R&D data is often spread across multiple systems, making it difficult for companies to make effective use of historical information.
The new platform includes a database combining master data on major rubber compounding agents used in Japan with catalogue information, Zeon said 29 June.
The platform will enable users to access and utilise data "quickly and efficiently" during day-to-day R&D activities.
According to Zeon, the system also features an interface "optimised for rubber material R&D, with a focus on usability and data visibility."
The Japanese supplier said it will continue to expand the platform's functionality in response to customer requirements.
Zeon has identified the data management system as one of the growth drivers beyond the third phase of its Stage30 medium-term management plan.
