Have you seen this window?
ERJ staff report (DS)
London -- Before the outbreak of World War II, three stained glass panels at the front and sides of Michelin House, 81 Fulham Rd, London -- also known as the Bibendum Building -- were removed to a basement in Michelin's Stoke-on-Trent factory for safekeeping. Unfortunately, said Michelin, "they went missing."
Michelin UK now says, "We last heard of the panels in the 1960's, we think that somebody may have 'borrowed' the panels to prevent any further damage. We'd like them back now please."
The company is prepared to accept the windows back, 'no questions asked' More images of the three windows are available at a special UK website (see below).
The person whose information leads to the return of the windows will be offered seats at an event in January at Michelin House, which is expected to feature all 140 of the current Michelin-starred chefs including Gordon Ramsay and Heston Blumenthal.
