Chinese machinery group VP reports on “closed-loop” intelligent system for tire production
Qingdao, China — Mesnac has presented new AI-based applications for the tire manufacturing industry, including a "fully integrated" system aimed at improving production efficiency and quality.
Mesnac VP Yang Huili presented the machinery maker’s latest developments during a recent meeting of the China Rubber Industry Association (CRIA)'rubber machinery and molds branch' in Qingdao.
Advances, reported Yang, include an intelligent system framework offering "real-time perception, autonomous learning, intelligent decision-making and closed-loop execution" capabilities.
Industrial vision is a key enabler of the tire-making system, ensuring “high-precision measurement and control with low-defect rates,” she added at the meeting held 26 March.
Further features include MCC industrial software, designed to integrate data across processes and enable “millisecond-level correction,” continued the Mesnac executive.
'Large-model AI', added Yang, is being applied to the equipment control processes: allowing “rapid fault query responses with high accuracy” and supporting predictive maintenance.
The presentation formed part of broader discussions at the CRIA annual conference on digitalisation and 'green' developments that support transition towards higher-value and more efficient production.
