Sri Lankan tyre company owner sets up appeal
Sri Lanka--Pierre Pringiers, a Belgian national who is joint owner of the Sri Lankan solid tyre company, Loadstar PVT Ltd, has jointly set up an aid fund to help villagers in his adopted homeland who have been affected by the recent tsunami. The organisation, Adoptsrilanka.com is specifically set up to help the people of these villages, in an effort to complement international and government relief efforts already underway.
Loadstar is jointly owned by Pringiers and the Sri Lankan family of Jinasena. The company has joined with fellow entrepreneurs and business owners in Sri Lanka to contribute to the disaster, and the group promotes itself as having intimate knowledge of the local situation and the energy, contacts and motivation to put help quickly where it is needed.
