Partially owned by Semperit, acquired business strengthens group's position in sealing profiles
Stockholm, Sweden – Trelleborg has acquired German rubber profile specialist M+R Dichtungstechnik GmbH through its Trelleborg Industrial Solutions business area, the Swedish group announced 1 Sept.
According to Trelleborg, M+R Dichtungstechnik develops customised rubber profiles and moulded components for ‘technically demanding applications,’ with its portfolio consisting primarily of extruded rubber profiles for the construction industry.
These include architectural facade seals as well as solutions for solar and wind power and other industrial applications.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
"M+R Dichtungstechnik particularly strengthens Trelleborg's presence in facade profiles in Germany, Europe's largest construction market," said Jean Paul Mindermann, president of Trelleborg Industrial Solutions.
The company's offering of “advanced, customised solutions is also fully aligned with Trelleborg's strategy," he added.
Headquartered in Seligenstadt, Germany, M+R Dichtungstechnik generated sales of just over SEK85 million (€7.6 million) in 2025 and its customers are primarily located in Central Europe.
The business was partially owned by Austria's Semperit Group, which announced in a separate statement that it has sold its stake in Seligenstadt-based company.
Semperit said the sale was a step toward sharpening its portfolio as it aims to focus business "even more consistently on attractive growth and innovation areas."
