Hexpol long-serving executives announce departure

Malmo, Sweden – Hexpol AB has announced that two long-serving members of its group management team will leave the group at the end of 2027, with a succession process set to begin after the summer.

Carsten Rueter, president of Hexpol Compounding Technology, and Ralph Wolkener, president of Hexpol Compounding Europe & Asia, have reached a mutual agreement with the company to prepare a management transition before ending their employment on 31 Dec 2027, Hexpol said 30 July.

The Swedish group said both executives will remain fully responsible for their current roles until successors have been appointed.

Hexpol said that it expects the transition to be completed "well before" their departure to ensure a smooth handover, noting that it will begin recruiting successors “as soon as possible after the summer break.”

According to chairman Alf Goransson, the Rueter and Wolkener have been with Hexpol for more than three decades.

The two, said Goransson, have been “central to growing our Rubber Compounding business into a world-leading operation and have built a strong organisation and management team.”
