MATERIALS
Natural rubber
ANRPC forecast global NR consumption to grow more slowly than production: demand expected to increase 1.4% year-on-year to 15.602m tonnes in 2026, compared with 15.382m tonnes in 2025. Citing projected estimates by member states, the growers association said NR production in January is expected to stand at 1.409m tonnes, up 4.3% year-on-year. ERJ report
NR futures ended the first trading week of March lower across major exchanges amid active trading, reported Japan Exchange Group. The decline was driven by “long liquidation and profit-taking by commodity funds,” as prices had reached technically overbought levels in the previous week, added JPX, noting that geopolitical developments in Iran, could impact commodity markets.
