Group integrates automation specialist SC Otomasyon as Troester Robotics unit
Hanover, Germany – Troester GmbH & Co. KG has expanded its automation capabilities through the acquisition of Turkish company SC Otomasyon, which now operates as Troester Robotics within the group.
The Istanbul-based company was acquired in 2025 and has since been integrated into the Troester Group structure, the German machinery supplier said on 9 March.
According to Troester, SC Otomasyon has ‘proven technology’ for industrial automation and robotic systems, delivering solutions for 'complex manufacturing processes.'
The acquired company launched its first major automated production line for the tire industry in 2019 and has since supplied automation systems that have been “running reliably for several years,” Troester said.
The acquisition is intended to strengthen Troester’s position in ‘automation and robotics solutions’ while supporting its long-term strategy of developing “autonomous production systems” for fully integrated and low-labour manufacturing processes.
Through the new unit, Troester said it gained access to robotic applications “across the entire tire factory, from individual process stations to fully networked production lines.”
According to Troester, demand for robotic automation is increasing globally as manufacturers in regions including Europe, China and North America face growing labour shortages.
“With Troester Robotics, Troester is now able to meet this demand in the future with integrated solutions from a single source,” the company said.
Thomas Holzer, CEO of Troester GmbH & Co. KG, said the combination brings complementary strengths.
“The [acquired] company brings start-up spirit, agility and strong innovative capabilities, while Troester contributes decades of experience, established commercial structures, a global sales network and long-standing customer relationships,” Holzer said.
Headquartered in Hanover, Troester supplies equipment and system solutions for the rubber, cable and compounding industries and employs around 700 people across operations in Germany, China, US, Switzerland and India.
