London – Pelmar Engineering is “interested in” the Marangoni Meccanica SpA business, which went into liquidation in September, the Israeli-based company's management has informed ERJ.
Rovereto, Italy-based Marangoni Meccanica was declared insolvent by an Italian court on 23 Sept, with a creditors’ meeting to examine its liabilities scheduled for 15 Jan 2026.
Founded in 1965, the Italian company specialised in the manufacture of machinery for the production/assembly of large tires, particularly for off-road vehicles and agricultural machinery.
For this year’s ERJ Machinery Survey, Marangoni Meccanica reported annual sales of €15 million: employing 70 people in the production of tire building machinery and related equipment and systems.
Ramat HaSharon, Israel-based Pelmar Engineering last provided details for the ERJ survey in 2024: then putting sales at €86 million and employment at 190 – including 48 linked to its wide range of rubber/tire machinery-related equipment, systems and services.
