Land access issues resolved at Perl-Besch site after months of delay
Perl, Germany – Pyrum Innovations is preparing to break ground on its second waste tire pyrolysis plant in Germany after resolving a protracted land access issue, chief executive Pascal Klein said in an investors’ update.
According to Klein, the start of construction at Perl-Besch (ERJ report) had been held up because the company’s site was separated from the nearest public road by a plot of land owned by the church and leased to the municipality of Perl.
Pyrum required only a portion of this area to connect to the transport network, but the division of the property created “a number of legal and contractual hurdles.”
After what Klein described as “intensive negotiations,” and with the support of the municipality of Perl and SHS Strukturholding Saar GmbH, a solution was reached.
The notarisation of the property transfer has now been completed, enabling Pyrum’s site to be officially linked to the road network, Klein said in his 26 Sept update.
According to the company leader, preparatory groundwork has already been carried out at the site with “long-lead plant components” having been ordered and architects commissioned.
Pyrum said planning for the official groundbreaking is under way, with the date to be announced once final arrangements are in place.
