Craig Borkowski returns to lead company after holding multiple senior roles
Niskayuna, New York – Momentive Performance Materials has appointed Craig Borkowski as chief executive officer (CEO), effective 16 June.
Borkowski returns to Momentive following “a decade-long relationship,” having previously held multiple senior positions within the company.
He first joined Momentive in 2010 as global marketing director for electronic materials and later relocated to Seoul to lead the optical materials business as global optical segment leader.
He was subsequently promoted to VP global electronic materials, with responsibility for the business worldwide.
Before departing in 2020, he returned to the US to serve as chief strategy officer, where he led the development of Momentive’s global corporate strategy.
“Craig brings perspective, experience, and passion to meet the demands of our customers and enhance product performance,” said YH Kim, chairman of the board.
"He bring a strong track record of driving growth, collaboration, and innovation that will propel this company forward,” Kim added 30 May.
On accepting the position, Borkowski said he intended to drive innovation and digitisation "across all facets" of Momentive's business, with support from parent company, KCC Corp.
