Move to create “a stronger hydraulics partner” for American customers
La Porte, Indiana – Hydraulic hose makers Balflex and NRP Jones have announced the combination of their operations in the US to create a stronger hydraulics partner for customers in Americas.
Based in Laborte, NRP Jones is a manufacturer and distributor of hydraulic hose, fittings and assemblies, while Porto, Portugal-based Balflex specialises in the manufacture of high-pressure hydraulic components.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
Operational for the past 80 years, NRP Jones has a strong position in North American hydraulics, with particular strength in speciality and oilfield applications, said a 6 Oct company release.
Founded in 1963, Balflex brings “a complete hydraulics range, global sourcing, and its own manufacturing in Portugal and Brazil, with a presence in more than 50 countries.”
Both the Balflex and NRP Jones brands and product lines will be fully maintained following the deal.
The move, said the partners, will provide a broader product catalogue, domestic production and local technical support for US customers.
It will also secure “a more resilient global supply chain, with better availability and service on both sides of the Atlantic.”
