Paris – Safic-Alcan has extended its partnership with global mineral-based additives & ingredients supplier Imerys, the French speciality chemicals distributor announced 14 Dec.
The deal builds on a long-standing distribution agreement between Safic-Alcan and Imerys in the cosmetics market across several countries, explained the Paris La Défense-based independent.
Under the new agreement, the partnership is now extended to the distribution of rubber fillers, including: kaolin, talc, carbonates, mica, diatomite, perlite and wollastonite.
Effective for rubber-industry markets from 1 Jan 2022, the partnership covers France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Portugal, and Spain, acording to the company statement.
“With this agreement we will provide our customers with better service as Safic will be their unique contact for all of our products,” said Imerys distribution manager Philippe Reygnier, noting the distributor’s “historical technical expertise.”
For Safic-Alcan Group, performance products MD Philippe Cenreaud said the deal enhances the company’s “strategy to build a strong and durable link with our partners.”
Imerys, added Cenreaud, is “well aligned with our commitment for sustainable development and to develop our portfolio with sustainable solutions.”
