With ERJ set to announce the latest rankings in the E4S programme, here are the top 20 contenders
London – Entries for ERJ’s latest Elastomers for Sustainability (E4S) initiative have been pared down to the 20 leading projects, most likely to enhance the environmental profile of the elastomer/rubber industry
Just ahead of the publication of the new Top 10 rankings, the listed contenders for the fourth E4S Top 10 (company/project title) are:
Arlanxeo: Compounds based on EPDM rubbers incorporating bio-monomers and bio-ingredients
Asahi Kasei: New partially hydrogenated functionalized SBC for polymer modified bitumen"
Dow Silicone Deutschland: Liquid silicone rubber - low density liquid silicone rubber for improved processing, performance and recycling
ETB: Bio-butadiene from ethanol for tire production
ExxonMobil Chemical: Specialty elastomer to enhance the barrier performance of tire innerliners
ExxonMobil Chemical: TPV integrated system solutions for sustainable glass run channel (GRC) weatherseals
JSR Elastomer Europe: New hydrogenated styrene-butadiene rubber
JSR Elastomer Europe: Super soft olefinic thermoplastic vulcanizates
Kraton Corp: IMSS technology
Mitsubishi Chemical – MCPP: Incorporating renewable carbon in TPEs
Nynas: Biobased plasticiser for the tyre & rubber industries
Semperit: Eco Green EPDM project
TechSyn: Tire technology platform for improved sustainability performance
Trinseo Europe: Highly-functionalized S-SBR grade
Tyromer: Tire-to-tire recycling
UPM: Renewable functional fillers for a lighter and more sustainable future
Versalis: ISCC Plus certified elastomers
Versalis: Styrenic block copolymers with improved sustainability
Following the announcement of the latest Top 10 in the Nov/Dec 2021 issue of ERJ magazine, the table will next be updated in our May/June 2022 issue.
