Strategic move to central US to strengthen commitment to customers
Richfield, Ohio – Nexen Tire America has relocated its headquarters from Diamond Bar, California to Richfield, Ohio.
Nexen opened the $5.2 million (€4.5 million), 35,540-square-feet facility near Akron in 2019, initially serving as one of its three global technical centres.
In a 27 Oct statement, the company said it decided to make the strategic move to relocate its headquarters to the central US facility, after identifying ‘several key benefits’ for its customers in the country.
“A central location ensures top priorities for its customers continue to be met,” said Nexen in its statement.
The South Korean tire maker also expects the new location to enable more frequent of travelling to customers and to enhance operating efficiency.
Nexen said it will continue to use its three US distribution facilities in California, Georgia and Ohio.
