Price hike “necessary" to recover a portion 'continued cost increases'
Tokyo – Kuraray has raised prices for liquid rubber and Isobam isobutylene water-soluble resins, effective 1 Nov.
The price hike of $0.40/kg will apply for both products to cover increasing costs, said Kuraray in a 27 Oct statement.
“Increasing feedstock prices, packaging materials and utility cost have raised the costs to produce these speciality materials to the level beyond absorbable by self-saving efforts,” said Kuraray.
It is, the Japanese supplier said, “necessary to recover a portion of these increases to ensure ongoing supply and new product innovation.”
