Trelleborg confirms talks over bid for TWS

Trelleborg, Sweden -  Trelleborg AB has confirmed that the group is in talks with parties that have shown interest in acquiring its Trelleborg Wheel Systems (TWS) wheel & tire business.

"Discussions at an early stage are ongoing with external parties," Trelleborg said in response to recent media reports, which it described as "speculations and rumours."   

"Should the discussions advance and develop into a situation where additional information is relevant, this will be communicated," the group added in a release issued 27 Dec, 2021.

Along with Trelleborg Industrial Solutions, Trelleborg Sealing Solutions, TWS is one of three business areas within the Trelleborg Group, which has annual sales of about SEK33 billion (€3.2 billion).
