Goodflex doubles raw materials processing capabilities at new facility
Alcester, UK – UK-based silicone rubber hose supplier Goodflex Rubber Co. has relocated from its Honeybourne, Worcestershire base to a new manufacturing site in Alcester, Warwickshire.
The manufacturer has invested more than £500,000 (€600,000) in the new facility, expanding production area from 8,000 square feet to 32,000 square feet, said Goodflex in a recent statement.
The expansion, said the manufacturer, is part of the company's plans to 'better suppor' existing customers and partner with larger OEM customers who seek to localise supply in the UK.
The move will see Goodflex doubling raw material process capacity while adding a new R&D centre and a testing laboratory with validation machines.
The new site also features a clean room to support the requirements of the food and pharmaceutical industry and has 3D printing capabilities.
The expansion, according to purchasing manager Michael Tinklin, will enable Goodflex to manage “more complex rapid projects for engineering teams and support larger BOMs [bill of materials] for procurement teams.”
