EU truck registrations grow 8.7 percent in 2004
Brussels--Registrations of light trucks in the EU grew by 8.7 percent during 2004, to 1.87 million units. Growth in the EFTA region was much stronger, at over 19 percent. Together, total growth was 9 percent and the total number was 1.922 million units
In heavy trucks, sales growth was around 8 percent. registrations in the EU were 228 193 units, compared with 211 354 during 2003. For EU plus EFTA, registrations were 234 034 units (2003: 216 548).
