Rapid prototyping company launches rubbery photo-polymer
Minneapolis, Minnesota - A US-based rapid prototyping company is offering a line of photo-polymer modeling materials with rubber-like properties.
The company, RedEye RPM offers materials for sale, but also a full-service prototyping activity and part-building service.
RedEye's new material line, called FullCure(TM) Tango, offers customers soft, pliable prototypes or end products in two hardnesses. The Tango line includes TangoBlack and TangoGray, both which, say the supplier, offer high elongation at break. TangoBlack provides maximum elasticity with a hardness of 61 Shore A. TangoGray is a slightly harder, but still flexible material, with a hardness of 75 Shore A, providing more controlled flexibility and elasticity.
The company said its Tango range is expected to be of interest to manufacturers of products with pliable features, such as tyres, toys, shoes, gaskets, keypads, over-moulding, and flexible automobile trim components.
RedEye has a fully-automatic quoting service available on its website (below). Visitors will need to register and log in before they can use it.
RedEye RPM says it is a state-of-the-art rapid prototyping and rapid manufacturing facility. It uses high-end rapid prototyping equipment to create physical models of CAD designs using durable high-performance engineering materials.
